Born and raised in St. Louis, Dr. Kim Folwarski went to high school at Rosati-Kain High School. Dr. Folwarski then went to Southeast Missouri State University to earn her Bachelor of Science in Biology. After shadowing a few doctors, Dr Folwarski decided on Optometry because of the wide range of patient care. She earned her Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree in 2011 at the University of Missouri – St. Louis College of Optometry, where she received the Charles Matlock Award for Excellence in Pediatric Optometry.
During optometry school, Dr. Folwarski completed rotations in pediatrics, specialty contact lenses, and surgical management.
Dr. Kim Folwarski enjoys primary care optometry for all ages, but has a passion for pediatric and binocular vision, a specialized form of optometry specific for testing children for reading and school related vision problems. Dr. Folwarski is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Missouri Optometric Association,the St. Louis Optometric Society and the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.
Dr. Folwarski lives in South St. Louis. In her free time, she enjoys working out and crafting.
